An Evening with Gary Shteyngart

Join us for a night filled with literary delights as we host the renowned author Gary Shteyngart at Lourdes University's beautiful Franciscan Center. Gary will share insights into his writing process, inspirations, and maybe even a sneak peek into upcoming projects. This in-person event is a rare opportunity to meet the mastermind behind bestsellers like The Russian Debutante's Handbook, Absurdistan, Little Failure, and more recently, Lake Success, and Our Country Friends. Don't miss out on this chance to immerse yourself in the world of storytelling with Gary Shteyngart!

Signed book included with ticket. Author presentation + Q & A will be followed by a book signing. Additional copies available for purchase at the event. 

VIP Reception begins at 6pm and is a mix-and-mingle format, with an opportunity to meet the author beforehand. A signed copy of the book and light refreshments are included.

Bio

Gary Shteyngart was born in Leningrad in 1972 and came to the United States seven years later. His debut novel, The Russian Debutante’s Handbook, won the Stephen Crane Award for First Fiction and the National Jewish Book Award for Fiction. His second novel, Absurdistan, was one of the New York Times Book Review‘s 10 Best Books of the Year. His novel Super Sad True Love Story won the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize and became one of the most iconic novels of the decade. His memoir, Little Failure, was a National Book Critics Circle Award finalist. His most recent novel is the New York Times bestseller Our Country Friends. His books have been published in thirty countries. He lives in New York with his wife and son.
