The Jackson County Public Library will host Deborah Angiolina Billings for a class on dealing with burnout. The class will be in the Conference Room of the library on Tuesday, April 22nd from 5:30PM to 7:30 PM.
In this class participants will learn what traumatic stress, stress and burnout are and how it may show up for them. Attendees will identify experiences, beliefs, cultural norms, and behaviors that are likely to contribute to their stress and burnout while exploring how this impacts their self-esteem and personal habits. Attendees will brainstorm realistic strategies to minimize stress and reduce the likelihood of burnout in their personal lives and take steps to create an intentional and sustainable holistic plan for life balance and increased self-esteem.
Although Deborah began her professional career as an attorney, her desire to empower individuals to live a more balanced, joyful, and prosperous life motivated her to become a certified professional coach in 2010. In September of 2023, Deborah retired from her position as the Director of Prevention Education at Kristi House, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Miami-Dade County. She facilitated thousands of evidence-based workshops on children and traumatic stress, human trafficking, children and problematic sexual behaviors, child sexual abuse. She also successfully facilitated an ongoing Mental Health Series focusing on anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem and compassion, shame, and guilt.
In her coaching practice Deborah is committed to helping her clients achieve holistic wellness and life fulfillment. She advocates for a harmonious blend of lifestyle balance, spiritual reflection, mind-body practices, and evidence-based therapies. Deborah’s coaching and facilitation sessions are culturally responsive and trauma-informed, designed to meet the needs of diverse participants and clients in a compassionate and professional manner.
