Liz Fite was a welcome Main Street fixture who was known for her energy, her sense of humor and her little dogs. She supported every eatery and shop on Main Street for many years. Liz (and her little dog Oliver) worked at The Vine every Wednesday and actively participated in all the Merchants on Main events. She also had a great sense of style and many interests.
Unfortunately, she succumbed to metastatic breast cancer earlier this summer. We all miss her loud voice and laugh and wanted to do something to honor her love of life. We are hosting a unique opportunity for everyone to come "shopping" in order to take a memory of Liz with you while donating to 3 causes near and dear to her heart:
-Dachshund Rescue of North America -
https://www.drna.org/
-Frederick County 4H Therapeutic Riding Program -
https://www.fc4htrp.org/
-The Red Devils Cancer Support -
https://www.the-red-devils.org
There are many items that she left behind - cool clothing, an extensive collection of cowboy boots, hats, jewelry and much more. There will also be portrait prints of Liz and Oliver painted by our resident artist Tom Cantwell. The Vine is offering free wine tastings so you can raise one last toast to Liz. The Vine will also donate $1 from each purchase of wine or beer.
Drink Well, Do Good - something we know she would heartily approve of!
