Our featured speakers this month will be Steve Berry, Dean of Workforce Innovation and Community Advancement and John Zeigenfuse, Senior Business Director - Business Solutions.
Steven E. Berry, M.S., is a seasoned higher education leader with more than 23 years of experience in workforce development, adult education, and public service. He currently serves as Dean of Workforce Innovation and Community Advancement at Carroll Community College, where he oversees a broad portfolio of licensure, apprenticeship, and corporate training programs. In addition to his administrative role, he teaches undergraduate and graduate business and leadership courses as an adjunct professor, integrating real-world experience into the classroom. His career also includes senior roles in state government, leading strategic workforce and professional development initiatives. Steve is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Wilmington University.
John Zeigenfuse is the Senior Director of Business Solutions at Carroll Community College, where he leads the development of innovative training programs that help organizations invest in their people and scale their impact. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, John brings deep expertise in strategic planning, change management, and organizational culture. He is also a leadership coach and consultant, passionate about helping leaders grow their capacity to drive meaningful change. A proud father of five, John is actively involved in his community as a soccer, lacrosse, and wrestling coach.
The SCBA holds its monthly luncheon on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 12 noon at Liberatore's Ristorante 6300 Georgetown Blvd., Sykesville, MD. The luncheon is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Please register in advance or pay an additional $3 at the door.
