SUNSETTO
SUNSETTO is a songwriter, producer, and artist from Cape Breton Island. After years of writing bedroom demos and working odd jobs, he flew to Los Angeles on a whim in 2020. Unable to afford the mandatory hotel isolation required at the time to re-enter Canada, he released his debut single, ‘don't leave,’ while couch surfing in LA. ‘don't leave’ amassed hundreds of thousands of streams and landed him on the radar of Warner Chappell and Three Six Zero, resulting in a co-publishing deal. Subsequently, on the strength of his self-produced debut and unreleased demos, he signed a record deal with Sony Music Canada that same year.
Since 2021, sunsetto has been meticulously crafting his sound and image, with his catalog now amassing millions of streams. His highly anticipated debut album, ‘The Sun, The Moon, & The Big Machine’ was release in October 2024, boasting collaborations with industry heavyweights like Bibi Bourelly, Sinead Harnett, and Tim Suby. After completing a run of 25 Canadian tour dates opening up for SonReal in early 2025 and opening for Down with Webster in 2024 - sunsetto continues creating new music for himself and others while promoting his genre-bending debut album.
