Managing Biological Complications around Dental Implants

We are delighted to welcome you to the next Swindon Dental Study Club, an inititive to bring together like minded individuals to enhance clinical skills, exchange knowledge and build a professional network. Hosted by Pratik Patel (Principal dentist at Swindon Dental & Implant Clinic), the events are free to attend and offer verifiable CPD. To provide dentists and hygiene/therapists with practical, evidence-based strategies for the effective management of biological complications around dental implants.

By the end of the session, participants should be able to:

• Describe preventive measures and maintenance protocols to reduce the risk of biological complications.
• Implement non-surgical management techniques for peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis.
• Identify and modify patient- and prosthesis-related risk factors that influence the management of peri-implant diseases.
• Recognise when referral or surgical intervention may be required for successful outcomes.
