🌟 Weekend of Words - Poetry Workshops & Sharing Event🌟

Discover the power of storytelling in YOUR community. Join us for this brand new inter-generational project bringing together writers of all ages and experience levels.

🗓️ WHEN: Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July 2025

📍 WHERE: Haydon Wick Parish Council Offices

Led by local slam-winning poet Rebecca Rocker (Torn Curtain) and teenage wordsmith Xavdryn DeVos, these workshops are designed to nurture creativity, confidence and connection through the theme of 'home'.

🎯 SATURDAY WORKSHOPS (1.5 hours each):

1-2:30pm: Ages 8-12
2:30-4pm: Ages 12-16
4-5:30pm: Adults

🎤 SUNDAY SHARING EVENT, 2pm - 3.30pm: Low-pressure open mic for workshop participants, plus performances from local poets. Don't want to perform? Come support others and enjoy the storytelling! Workshop attendees can invite up to 2 friends/family.

This is a safe, welcoming space for everyone - from complete beginners to experienced writers. All materials provided, just bring your creativity.
