Rosca Horsemanship is back for a weekend horsemanship camp at CHAPS Collingham Horse Adventure Park, Orchard Stables, Collingham in Newark, on Saturday 9th August 2024. - Sunday 10th August 2025.
During your time with Rosca Horsemanship at Collingham Horse Adventure Park, Ross will seek to help you develop your horsemanship and mutual communication between you and your horse both on the ground and from the saddle.
Following Ross's well-known teaching style, CHAPS the weekend will create a relaxed learning environment to progress your horsemanship as individuals, enhance your skills, learn more about your horse and all whilst meeting likeminded people.
Ross will seek to help you improve your own skill as a horseperson as we navigate the new and challenging obstacles that the adventure park has to offer, developing feel and to strengthen your relationship.
Saturday will consist of an introduction to the course with the first day primarily focusing on groundwork, establishing confidence, communication and the building blocks to be able to manoeuvre around the obstacles found on the course.
Sunday will be a natural progression from Saturday, for each individual, where we will progress ground-skills or progress to riding under saddle, again, working to improve effective communication, body control and manoeuvrability with what the course presents; riding will always be optional, it is not a necessity.
Each day we will break around lunchtime for a picnic up in the trailer feel to rest and recharge before the afternoon.
There will be ample opportunity through the day for Ross to offer real-time demonstrations on the ground and from the saddle with your horses, as and when the opportunity arises.
Private lessons will be available with Ross in the arena before and after the clinic should anyone wish for some extra tuition over the weekend (additional charges occur).
Please arrive no later than 9.30am on Saturday 9th August to give your horse time to settle in to the surroundings, and do bring extra hay nets for your horses lunchtime break.
