YOUR ENTRY WILL INCLUDE CHILI AND A BUN FROM SHAYNA’S SWEET TREATS
You will be given a wrist band. PLEASE WRITE YOUR NAME ON IT. If you want to leave the game before it is over, please hand your wristband in to one of the admin staff (doctors or military) so we know you’re not dead in the bottom of a trench at game end.
A waiver must be signed by each adult player. If under 16, one adult must sign the waiver and be responsible for one minor only.

Lives/Health
Each player will start with TWO LIVES indicated by a piece of marking tape hanging from your body. Must be visible at all times.
• Can I get extra lives?
Yes, by finding three cards around the town and trading them in to one of the admin. (Doctors/nurse/medic)
These cards are:
FOOD. WATER. MEDICAL SUPPLIES.
You may NOT have more than three (3) lives at any time. INCLUDING INITIAL START LIVES.

How is a person turned into a zombie?
By the touch of a zombie, another player that has a placebo weapon, or by Admin staff. A zombie touch will take one tape life. Surrender one piece of tape to your attacker. Once you have surrendered all of you lives you will become a zombie. If an admin staff must give a player any type of warning for behaviour or rule breaking, they may eject you from the game or take one or all lives at their discretion. You then become a zombie.
What happens once they are turned?
You must drop all game related supplies and prop weapons where you stand.
Go to the safe area to make yourself up as a zombie and change into your zombified clothes. Re-enter the game as a zombie. Find a zombie master and then track down your friends.

Safe area/Make up area
The “SAFE” area can be used for a rest or a break for no longer than 10 minutes and for changing into your zombie attire. This area will be lit after dark and is also the start point.
This area may be overrun by zombies at some point in the game. Be ever vigilant.

Personal defence
ABSOLUTELY NO FULL-ON CONTACT. You will be touched. If you have a prop weapon you may touch the zombie with it to ward them off. If you touch them with your weapon, they will back off or slow down depending on where they are hit. They will take a knee and count to ten (10) and return into the game. Remember, Zombies are relentless!

Action of zombies
Look out for the zombie master, the zombie that still has an ounce of brain. He/she will be directing the herd. They will have a red armband and red glow stick
Zombies will mimic your actions and follow you. They may lunge and walk fast but WILL NOT RUN
WE STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST RUNNING. NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF THE FEAR FACTOR BUT BECAUSE OF THE ENVIRONMENT YOU ARE IN. THERE IS GOPHER HOLES, TRENCHES AND MANY MORE OBSTACLES THAT YOU CAN’T SEE IN THE DARK. YOU ARE HEARBY WARNED
Zombies are attracted by Sound. Light. Movement. Smell (THE CHILI WON’T HELP)

Gangs/Tribes/Lone survivors
You may form an alliance of up to five people.
You may touch any other player with your prop weapon. If you are successful in the K*ll, you may take any “GAME RELATED SUPPLIES” they have, except their tape lives. Killed player will lose a life.
ABSOLUTELY NO FULL-ON CONTACT
Prop weapons
Can be found around the play area OR when dropped by a player who has turned. You can also collect a prop weapon by “killing” another player that has one if you want a player’s bigger weapon. You must drop the original weapon in order to claim the bigger weapon as only one weapon per player is allowed. Do not take the tape off the weapons. It’s there to help us find them after the game.

Objectives
Not only to survive...
Complete objectives (handed out at registration on the day). The more objectives you collect, the more likely you are to win the game. It’s not enough to just stay alive, although you can’t win if you don’t!
SIMPLE…... YOU THINK SO?
THE MAGIC WORD IS LUCILLE
Admin staff
Will be dressed as military or medical staff. They can be used as a “safe area” as the zombies understand they have guns and/or zombie repellent spray. However, if they are swarmed by zombies, they will protect themselves first.
What you will be given to play
Wrist band. Please write your name on it before game start and do not lose it!
A laminated guide to punch collections (Punches will be placed around the town that players will use to punch their laminated card)
DO NOT
• Move or hide any objectives (punches) as we want this to be fun and competitive for everyone.
• Climb buildings or cause damage to buildings or props.
• Leave the designated area
Zombies do not have flashlights. However, if a player is turned while wearing a head lamp it can stay on
Safety
Horn blasts will start the game and be an indication of game changes at different times and points in the game. Erratic horn blasts will indicate a safety issue in which case all players should go directly to the play safe area for further instructions.
A flare and horn will indicate the end of the game.
Please ensure you sign a waiver outlining more safety points.

After the event.
Sit back and tell your survival stories around the campfire especially how you killed your friends.
Make sure your name and player number are on your stamp card for prizes and your wrist band is handed in.
Zombies
In general, they do not run. Zombies will mimic the movements of the player they are attempting to follow.
BUT DO NOT RUN
If in a horde or alone they are slow, staggering, drooling, moaning/groaning.
They are attracted by movement, light and smells and will move towards that unless directed by the zombie master.
Zombies do not hide but may stand still and moan/groan
Zombies do not climb or duck down to go under an obstacle
Zombies can crawl
Zombies do not have flashlights. However, if a player is turned while wearing a head lamp it can stay on
Zombies will fall or stop when hit by gun fire or touched with a weapon to give the player time to get away. They will count to ten (10), then revive themselves.
Admin staff
Doctors/nurses may give extra lives if presented with the correct supply cards. Even though they have zombie repellent spray they are not invincible, they do not give as must protection as the military. They will have a blue glow stick for night use/safety
Military Have guns and give more protection than doctors and nurses. Will also have a green glow stick for night use/safety
*BOTH CAN BE TURNED IF SWARMED*
Zombie masters will look after the zombies. A zombie master will wear a RED arm band and or red glow stick for night use/safety AND be the toughest zombie to K*ll
Ride the Humvee
The military like to cruise the town and shoot zombies. Who doesn’t!? Flag down the Humvee and ask for a ride to another point in the town that may be hard to get to. Limit of 5 riders per trip
Find the Humvee card to get this ride

BACK STORY
For those that know, you know. For those that don’t, here goes.
For centuries the town of Lil-sur-Mer has been plagued by ghosts and ghouls, especially around the chilling month of October. During that time, it is known as the Haunted Town of Lil-sur-Mer. Residents move out so that the undead and everything that goes bump in the night can move in. This is an agreement that the town has had since time immemorial.
Recently though, a ghostly vessel appeared unannounced in the night. Waking up one morning, the townsfolk soon became aware of the presence of the pirate ship DOUGANNA, normally only seen during the haunting season.
A low mist covered the town in the early hours, but the townsfolk went about their day as usual. Until, that is, people started to feel a little sick. Symptoms like dizziness, disorientation, blackness around the eyes and, in extreme cases, spontaneous bleeding from the eyes and nose.
A quarantine zone was quickly set up at the town hall. Extra medical staff were brought in to administer a “NEW VACCINE” as well as military personnel to control movement and contain the spread.
It was quickly realised that this “NEW VACCINE” did not work. At best, when sprayed in the form of a mist, it repelled anyone that was infected but did nothing for those who were not.
The military also found that when their bullets were dipped in this formula, the infected were killed instantly when shot with them, as it did to any uninfected. Further tests are currently being conducted.
Unable to contain the outbreak, the virus quickly spread by touch or even by being in close proximity to someone who was infected. This then puts the subject into a zombie like state.
Panic soon broke out and the townsfolk took up arms and any weapon they could find to try and defend themselves against not only the zombies but other townsfolk and set out to collect supplies for their survival until help arrives.
