Event Description:
Join us for the very first Prayer Shawl Circle, a warm and welcoming community gathering led by The Birch Tree Ministry. This special circle is open to everyone—you do not need to be a Birch Tree Minister to attend or participate.
Together, we’ll begin the heartfelt process of creating prayer shawls—hand-knit or crocheted shawls infused with love, intention, prayer, and healing energy. These shawls are made to be gifted to individuals going through illness, grief, or difficult life moments, offering them a tangible reminder that they are not alone.
In this first gathering, we will:
🧶 Learn about the tradition and meaning behind prayer shawls
🧶 Discuss different shawl options, yarn and tool requirements
🧶 Discuss how completed shawls will be gifted to those in need
Discuss how often we will gather to work on our shawl projects
You are welcome to choose a shawl pattern on your own and start working on it at this first meeting but know that pattern ideas will be provided as well as suggestions and guidance if you need help choosing your shawl project. You will go home knowing what you will need to bring to the next Circle!
Come as you are. Whether you’re an experienced crafter or just learning, your presence and intention are welcome. Let’s create comfort and healing—one stitch at a time.
