Midsummer Beach Ecstatic Dance

Wales' thriving ecstatic dance community is here!

Join us to move our bodies to soul invigorating, booty shaking, heart softening music and everything inbetween to release and surrender to whatever is present in our lives. The sea, sky, fire, cacao and earth will be a container to hold us in getting WILD and FREE to celebrate the bliss of summer through the medicine of dance. Our dancefloor will be the sacred and outstanding Three cliffs Bay which is our annual dance spot to honour the abundance of summer!

Parking is available at the Heritage Centre or outside Shepards shop in Parkmill. Follow the river towards the beach and we will meet you on the left of the stone circle.

Ecstatic Dance is a free form movement practice which takes dancers through an embodied journey of inner discovery, joy and freedom. This is a self-lead and expansive space with no rules, just a few guidelines:

🌀We dance barefoot, grouning into the earth.

🌀 We dance without words, to let the body speak.

🌀 We dance without substance, no alcohol/drugs permitted. We dance on the high of our own pure energy supply.

🌀 We dance without technology, being in the present moment!

💓We start the journey with a grounding cacao ceremony to guide us back to our hearts to warm up the body and to connect to the land before we explore authentic movement and embodied freedom through moving into our own unique expression ...dance!

🎵Our Dj will take us on a journey through a beautifully crafted, worldly & eclectic DJ set. Weaving waves of genres and energies to get our body moving and soul smiling with our immersive silent disco headsets. Ending with softness, stillness and slow integration back into our closing circle.

🎧Co-founder and Resident Dj Jazzy Bee will be sending her set from Aotearoa, New Zealand to journey us through a beautifully crafted ecstatic dj set to embody the sun in all of us! Expect the soft, etheral, sexy, shamanic, heart based flows and deep wild bass to let ourselves indulge in the summer of loveee for our deepest selves.

Flow of the evening:

6.30pm ~ Meet at the stone circle at Three Cliffs Beach: Opening Circle & Cacao Activation (park at the Heritage Centre or Shepards)

6.45 pm ~Warm Up & Ecstatic Dance

9pm~ Closing Circle around the fire

We usually have a designated Photographer (who will be announced at the Opening Circle) who take a few short videos and photos at our events.
We use videos and photos to promote our events on social media to reach more and more people who need to meet the power of dance! If you don't want to be included in a video or photo, please let the Photographer or a Team Member know at the beginning of the event or if you see any footage of yourself on social media and want it removed, please message us directly (on social media or via ) and we’ll do so immediately.

❗️*Please bring warm clothes, we will have a fire but just be prepared for wind :)

❗️*If the welsh weather is not on our side, we have a delightful indoor space which overlooks Oxwich Bay in Penmaen & Nicholston Village Hall - this will be decided on the evening prior via emails and social media*
