Swannanoa Roadside Cleanup - Sept. 13

It's time for us to roll up our sleeves and hit the streets again for another Swannanoa Roadside Cleanup! The post-Helene public right-of-way debris removal program has concluded, and now it's our turn to pick up the trash that was left behind. Let's all join hands to spruce up Swannanoa -- together we can make a difference!

We'll start gathering at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, in the Swannanoa Ingles parking lot. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Gloves, bags and vests will be provided. In addition to picking up trash, we're going to haul debris and cut back overgrown vegetation (especially in places where it's blocking sight lines for drivers), so bring a truck and weedeater if you have 'em.

Come prepared to make some new friends, and to leave feeling really good about what you and others accomplished in just a few short hours. We can do this, Swannanoa!
