VE Day ’’80 years’’ Thurs 8th May Commemoration Picnic & Beacon Lighting
at Rosliston Forestry Centre
7:00– 10:00pm
Beacon lighting 9:30pm
As the Nation remembers, join us at Rosliston Forestry Centre for a small public event.
You are welcome to wear 1940s style clothing, bring picnics, play games, dance, celebrate.
on site: ARD Birds of Prey static display;
You may want to bring a battery lantern or lamp for the ‘lamplight of peace’ to turn on as we light the Beacon (please do not bring candles).
Hub Café open til 9:30 for cakes, sandwiches and hot drinks.
