EATING, DRINKING AND SWALLOWING COMPETENCY FRAMEWORK (EDSCF L2)

Do you directly care for someone who has eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties? If so, then our Level 2 Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Competency Framework (EDSCF L2) course could be of huge benefit.

This level 2 course is aimed at non-specialists such as parents, carers and healthcare assistants involved in direct care, preparing oral intake, and assisting in eating and providing fluids.

The course provides many learning outcomes including:

▪ preparing foods and drinks accurately to IDDSI standards
▪ offering safe and appropriate food and drinks to a person with dysphagia
▪ identifying if a person is at risk of experiencing dysphagia

You will receive appropriate training to demonstrate knowledge, skills and competence as assessed by a more experienced dysphagia practitioner.
