This course is recommended for:
Family members, carers and workers who need to use Makaton signing and/or symbols at home or in their work and for those who have completed Makaton level 1 training.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Have the ability to sign in everyday situations
2. Know stages 3-4 with the remaining additional
3. Know when to use Makaton symbols
4. Have an understanding of how to implement Makaton for their
own use

Course content:
You will learn the signs and symbols from Stages 3 and 4, and the rest of the Additional stage, of the Core Vocabulary.

Study materials:
For the Level 2 workshop you will receive a Participant’s Manual which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop.

If this training is delivered online, we will post the manual to you but only after you have acknowledged our Zoom meeting details which are emailed to you after you have booked, so please look out for this and let us know if you don’t receive it.

If you attend this training in-person, you will receive a manual on the day.

For all workshops you will be given a certificate of attendance. For online training we will send this in the post and in-person attendees will receive this at the end of the workshop. Please remember to keep your certificate in case you want to attend further Makaton training.
