Get ready to sip, stroll, and celebrate the arts on Sunday, May 4th, with the City of Suwanee! In partnership with Explore Gwinnett, we are happy to present a special one-time event, Mimosas and a Matinee!
Spanning across Town Center Park and Town Center on Main, this event marks the official opening of Suwanee’s 8th SculpTour exhibit, our largest installation ever, featuring 24 new sculptures. These pieces will remain on display for two years, joining nearly 30 other works throughout downtown.
Enjoy a mimosa, mocktail, or other beverages at Suwanee Circle, the new destination under the Town Center on Main pavilion. Hosted walking tours begin at 11AM, departing from Suwanee Circle, with SculpTour artists stationed at their works to discuss their craft.
The day is packed with performances and activities:
🌟 11AM, 11:30AM, 12:00PM – Walking art tours (to depart from Suwanee Circle at Town Center on Main)
🌟 1PM – Artists' Reception at Suwanee Arts & Welcome Center (open to the public!)
🌟 2PM – Aurora Theatre to present a staged reading of 'In the Heights' at the Town Center Park amphitheater
🌟 5PM – Contemporary Classics to present Shakespeare’s 'Twelfth Night' at Town Center on Main
All activities are free and open to the public. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at Suwanee Circle and Town Center merchants. Outside alcohol is not permitted, but picnics are welcome!
