The Boo Radleys are set to embark on a highly anticipated European tour in 2025, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their chart-topping album, Wake Up!
The tour begins with an exclusive warm-up show at The Sound Lounge, on Saturday 25th October. Currently their only confirmed UK date.
The "Welcome Back! Tour 2025" will feature a dynamic setlist drawing from Wake Up!, Giant Steps, and C'mon Kids, along with rare tracks and surprises from their extensive back catalogue. This tour marks a significant return for The Boo Radleys to Holland and France, where they've garnered a dedicated fanbase. Following the overwhelming success of their recent UK tour, which saw fans singing and dancing to hits from Wake Up! and C'mon Kids, the band is eager to reignite that energy across Europe and play for the first time in decades for their neglected fans.
The Boo Radleys, known for their three Top 20 albums, including the 1995 Number One hit Wake Up!, are comprised of original members Sice (vocals), Tim Brown (bass), and Rob Cieka (drums), joined by guitarist Louis Smith and trumpeter Nick Etwell. This lineup continues to build on the band's legacy while forging a new path with creative freedom and independence.
From their early days with Ichabod and I (1990) and Everything's Alright Forever (1992) on Creation Records, through to the critically acclaimed Giant Steps (1993) and the commercial triumph of Wake Up! (1995), The Boo Radleys have consistently defied genre boundaries.
Their influence extends beyond the UK, with Giant Steps particularly well-received in France. After C'Mon Kids! (1996) and Kingsize (1998), the band reunited in 2022, releasing Keep On With Falling and the 2023 album Eight to critical acclaim on their own Boostr label. In addition to touring, the band plans to release new music in 2025.
In 2023, the band celebrated the 30th anniversary of Giant Steps with a sold-out UK tour and a remastered vinyl release on Two Piers Records. The "Welcome Back! Tour 2025" promises to deliver another unforgettable experience for fans, honouring the band's rich history while showcasing their vibrant present.
The Boo Radleys continue to acknowledge the contributions of original guitarist and songwriter Martin Carr with onstage dedications.
Please note that to accommodate as many people who want to see the band as possible, this will be a mainly standing show with some seating available.
Doors 7pm. Show 8.15pm.
