Raw, rebellious, and born to tell stories, Sara Petite is a force of nature in the Americana world. With seven powerful albums, ten San Diego Music Awards, and a voice that can whisper you into tears or set a honky-tonk on fire, she’s one of the most compelling independent artists in roots music today.
Sara grew up in the rural town of Sumner, Washington, where wildflowers bloomed beside backroads and classic country crackled through the speakers. Raised on Loretta Lynn, gospel hymns, and front-porch storytelling, she learned early on that music wasn’t just entertainment; it was survival, healing, and rebellion.
That small-town grit followed her to San Diego, where she planted new roots and began carving out her place in the music scene. What started as late-night gigs and DIY records quickly evolved into a dynamic, critically acclaimed career that has taken her across the U.S. and Europe, stage by stage and song by song.
Sara’s catalog is a masterclass in Americana fusion—blending outlaw country, rock, folk, and alt-bluegrass with poetic punch and fiery presence. Her 2023 album The Empress cemented her place as an unshakable voice in the genre, drawing praise from PopMatters, Americana UK, Glide Magazine, and more.
With 10 San Diego Music Awards under her belt—including Best Country/Americana Artist and Best Album of 2023, Sara’s music has resonated deeply with fans who crave honesty, edge, and emotional depth.
“Jealous Heart” – New Single Drops 7/3/2025
Written in the glow of heartbreak and hard-earned wisdom, “Jealous Heart” is Sara at her most vulnerable...and her most powerful. With gritty guitar lines, soaring vocals, and lyrics that cut like a confession, it’s a song for anyone who’s ever loved too much, too fast, or too hard.
This is the first taste of her eighth studio album, due early 2026, a record that promises to be her boldest, most intimate release yet.
Whether she’s fronting a raucous band under festival lights or holding a theater crowd in hushed awe, Sara Petite delivers every line like it’s the last thing she’ll ever say. She's a storyteller, a firestarter, a survivor, and she’s just getting fired up.
