Calling all First Year UTS Law Students!
The UTS LSS Clyde & Co Gauntlet competition is here! The Gauntlet is a first-year only competition which will develop your skills in all law competitions including Negotiation, Witness Examination and Client Interview!
Students will first attend workshops on Friday, 18 July 2025 that outlines how to effectively compete in the diverse competitions and then in teams of two, students will attempt each of the competitions over the weekend of Saturday, 26 July 2025 to Sunday, 27 July 2025.
This is an invaluable opportunity to experience each competition and gain strong foundational skills before competing in our Junior Competitions in Semester 2. Throughout the weekend, you will be able to learn about different competitions, ask questions, and acquire tips and tricks for each competition.
How will it work?
Our competitions directors will run you through everything you need to know about the respective competitions on Friday, 18 July 2025 over Zoom. Here, you will be able to ask the directors any questions about the respective competitions and gain tips and tricks to succeed!
Then, throughout the weekend of Saturday, 26 July 2025 to Sunday, 27 July 2025, you will be able to compete with your partner in condensed versions of our competitions. You will also get to meet experienced competitors and judges who will give you feedback and answer any of your questions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and make friends along the way!

Workshops: Friday, 18 July 2025 6:00pm-7:30pm (Over Zoom)
Competition Rounds: Saturday, 26 July 2025 - Sunday, 27 July 2025 at UTS
