On July 18th 2025, Friday, the day my father would have turned 55.

Kid Local is performing a live music set as a tribute to him—and to every version of myself I’ve carried since his passing in 2008.

This isn’t just a set of background scores. It’s a personal archive of the soundtracks and cinematic moments that helped me survive, imagine and feel like the main character in my own story—even when I didn’t believe I was.

Through carefully selected film scores, this experience holds space for all to sit with their thoughts and feelings—something most of us were never taught to do. With each piece of music, there’s a simple journal prompt or reflection point gently guiding you into your own memory and inner world.

A 35-minute curated music set built entirely on film and show soundtracks

A guided journal experience created to explore memory, grief, identity and becoming

A quiet cinematic space for men to be present with themselves

Filmed documentation of the set to be shared online for others to experience from wherever they are
