Come and have a go at night nav. It's running or walking around the suburbs, with a map and a torch on the Sunshine Coast on a Tuesday night. Each event is in a different suburb. This is the last one of a series but it's a great one to come to in Maroochydore.
Meet at the BBQ shelter in Maroochydore Rotary Park for starts between 06:00 pm and 06:30 pm. Access via The Esplanade, Maroochydore.
There is only one Entry Class called "Sprints", but there will be a choice of courses on the night to choose from. You can do as many or as few as you like.
Pre-enter via Eventor or email by midday Tuesday to receive a colour map.
Cost is $6 per map for OQ club members and $10 for casuals.
You need to enter by midday on each Tuesday to help the volunteer organisers organise enough maps.

THIS IS A SPECIAL SPRINT EVENT: The winter solstice is very near and the days are short. So that means that the courses
should be short, right? Yep, that makes perfect sense: short days therefore short courses.
So for the final of this year's Autumn/Winter series, tonight we're having the Sprint
Spectacular Special!
How it works:
• There are three sprint courses available, printed on sprint standard 1:4000 maps. The
length of course A is typical of a normal sprint in that an experienced fast runner
should finish in about 15mins. But the other two, B and C, are slightly longer You may
run as many courses as you wish as long as you start your last one before 7:00PM.
• These are sprint line courses. So you must punch the controls in the order dictated by
the purple line printed on the map: ie, start at the triangle, then follow the purple line,
and finish at the double circle.
• Additionally, since these are line courses, there is no pre-run map perusal. You start
running when you collect your map!
To facilitate this, the course access codes are available only at the registration table
while the maps are at another table located at the start flag. After registering to run
your desired course and after receiving its code, please activate your course on your
phone and enter the access code before you collect your map at the start flag.
• You must visit the registration table before and after each course you run so that we
know if you are currently out on a course or not.
• The maps are drawn as sprint maps, which means that they look considerably
different from typical NightNav maps. One very important difference is that there
will be purple forbidden entry lines across some of the streets which act as artificial
barriers. You may not cross these barriers. They will be different on each course! A
partially printed map with an example of these barriers will be available for view at
the registration desk.
• We're keeping costs down so for courses B and C we won't be printing as many maps
as entrants. Please help by reusing these maps among fellow entrants.
