This Halloween at Independent we have a special spooky show from Sunderland’s own charity fundraising group @stocktonroadhitsquad.Having spent the last 18 months raising donations and awareness for local music charity @thebunkercic, the Hit Squad are back on Independent’s big stage, teaming up with The Bunker in a fundraising effort to offer support, guidance, and resources for those suffering with mental health-related illness.Poor mental health can impact all of us, with those working in the music/hospitality industry navigating specific challenges and pressures. In the last year alone we have experienced the devastating loss of several much-loved members of our community through depression and suicide. This has prompted a concerted effort to highlight these occupational risks, have uncomfortable but transparent conversations with each other, and enable ourselves with the tools to get the right help.Needless to say, this Halloween party showcases a fantastic lineup of local musicians, tributing some classic names from Rock and Pop, with a few spooky surprises thrown in here and there…Tickets are on sale now at just £10, with every penny raised going to local mental health charities. There is a limited number of free tickets available for those who would like to attend but can not afford, please get in touch if you'd like one of these tickets, no one turned away due to lack of funds.
