I’ve done many benefit shows, but this one hits closest to home. A very close childhood friend of mine is in dire need of financial assistance. The father of two little boys and primary provider experienced an unforeseen medical tragedy last week. Medical professionals at Seattle’s level 1 trauma center estimate he will remain in ICU for the next 6-8 weeks. His prognosis after that is unknown but surely a long journey ahead. During that time and beyond, Brittany will be responsible for maintaining her job, home life and childcare, all while making the 3 hour round trip to spend as much time as possible at the hospital. Any funds raised will be given to this family to ease the burden and allow them to be together. Thank you for supporting this family in their time of desperation.
This will be held at Purdy’s Public House in Sumner from 12pm-3pm. My drummer Chris and I will be playing music and collecting donations for the family. Bring the kids as this is a family friendly environment with a full arcade, great food and drinks. Come enjoy some live music and support a local family in a time of need.

In the late hours of Friday evening Curtis, Brittany’s significant other and father of their two children Thomas (3) and Henry (1) suffered a severe hemorrhagic stroke and had to have an emergency craniectomy to relieve pressure and allow for ample swelling. He remains in ICU in stable but critical condition and will stay for a minimum of 6-8 weeks. They have acknowledged that from there he will then most certainly need to transfer to an inpatient full rehabilitation facility for an unforeseen duration. Brittany has been by his side and staying with him as much as able while also caring for their young boys. This has resulted in 5am wake ups to be out the door for the hour plus long commute to Seattle to ensure that she is there for every morning rounding and to meet with doctors and stay informed. Some days not getting home until bedtime. Our goal is to help support financial obligations so that she may focus on supporting Curtis and their children as they learn to navigate through the coming weeks and months ahead and adjust to what will begin as their new normal. We are hoping to raise awareness as well as funds to help alleviate some of the financial burdens for his beautiful children and wonderful partner. We all know that the bills never stop and then to add on extra needed expenses for things such as fuel, food, childcare, diapers, parking, etc.
