"Push, Pull, Play, Paint" with Madeline Dukes

This one-day workshop introduces you to painting abstractly with acrylics, oils, and mixed media.
The goals of this workshop are to introduce you to a new way of thinking and to challenge your own pre-conceived notions regarding art and its creation. Artist/instructor, Madeline Dukes, will share and demonstrate exploratory tools and practices that open the doors to creating dynamic and unique artwork.
Dukes will lead you through the importance of design elements and principles, the most common compositions used in abstraction, and the intention setting phase for the day’s paintings. She will also introduce you to great “loosening up” exercises to prepare you for painting a 2-panel series during the workshop.
