Salmon & Native Okanagan Fish Workshop

Learn all about the lifestyle, life cycle, spawning patterns and behaviors of our local fish, including the sockeye, kokanee, and chinook salmons, as well as the steelhead and rainbow trouts.
This event is also in anticipation of the opening of the new Okanagan salmon passage of the Penticton Dam! This project, which was supposed to open late June, right about now, was unfortunately delayed until mid-July, when the salmon channel will open and return the salmon population to lake Okanagan where they were before human interference forced them out.
