The Artios Sugar Hill Dance Majors are proud to present the project that they have been working on during the first semester of Choreography Essentials.
This dance adaptation of The Pilgrim's Progress follows Christian’s journey from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City, telling the story through movement, supplemented by narration, Scripture, and hymn text.
Along the narrow path, she faces discouragement in the Slough of Despond; rest and renewal at the Palace Beautiful; battle and darkness in the Valley of the Shadow of Death; and trial and loss at Vanity Fair. All of this on the journey towards the Celestial City.
This performance offers a reflective portrayal of faith, perseverance, and hope through a timeless allegory.
Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A talk back with the dancers and choreographers.
