Bruce and Teri Shelkey are a family near and dear to the heart of Pursuit Fitness.
Over a year and a half ago, Bruce was diagnosed with end stage colorectal cancer. He was given only a 17% chance to survive a year with chemotherapy and radiation.
Bruce ultimately chose to forgo treatment with the intent of living out his life with the best quality possible.
Bruce began fighting his battle head on with a remarkably positive attitude and holistic approach. It is now almost two years since his diagnosis and Bruce is still with us, fighting, day in and day out alongside his incredibly strong and supportive wife, Teri.
At Pursuit we would like to celebrate the strength, courage and determination of this special family with a fundraiser workout to be held on Friday, Sept. 26 @ 5:30pm
Grab your friends, family, co-workers, etc. and come out for a bodyweight style workout, post workout cookout and hangout some raffle prizes and most importantly, to show Bruce and Teri that they are not alone in this battle.
Any & all proceeds will be going to the family as a way to help with medical bills.
Bruce represents the courage we all hope for. & the strength we all strive for only created through staying in the fight.
