Introduction to Upcycling

This hands-on introductory course will walk you through all the basic skills you need for upcycling furniture.

By the end of the workshop, you will be ready to take an unloved piece of furniture, prepare, paint and restore it, ready for everyday use again.

First, you will learn basic steps, tips and techniques to prepare your project for upcycling. We will then demonstrate how to use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in a variety of ways and teach several decorative paint styles and techniques. You can then choose your favourite Annie Sloan shade to apply to your own project piece.

Finally, we will explore options for finishing and protecting your upcycling furniture project.
