Join the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee’s research team during the Season of the Witch Market, a magical event hosted by Witches and Weirdos filled with enchanting delights, mystical vendors, and Halloween spirit.
As the sun sets, step outside for our Bats of the Night program to explore the mysterious and fascinating world of bats! 🦇🌙
Learn about the bat species that call our region home, discover how scientists monitor their populations, and find out what you can do to help protect these incredible nocturnal creatures.
The evening will include a guided night walk (weather permitting), where participants will get to use bat detectors to listen for and possibly spot bats in action!
Please note: at this time of year, bats may already be entering hibernation, so sightings and detections are not guaranteed.
🌙 What to Bring:
🔦 A headlamp or flashlight (red light feature if possible –limited supply available to borrow)
🧥 Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes
