About the event

Creating An Accessible Home For Your Client
Join our online CPD session on Stair Climbers! Learn how they make homes accessible, giving independence to clients and their families.

Welcome to our online event where we demonstrate our Stair Climbers and explain what a Stair Climber is and how they can help your clients. We will talk through how a Stair Climber can provide a versatile and portable option to adult and child users, and how they can provide a flexible solution.

What can I expect from the workshop?

We start by introducing the company and the range of Stair Climbers we offer. We'll demonstrate how the Stair Climbers work, and how they can be tailored to suit the needs of the individual client, both adults and children alike. We'll share case studies to demonstrate the versatility of a Stair Climber, from providing freedom in the home to enabling hospital transfers. We give you the opportunity to bring up specific cases to troubleshoot and find out how our service can be tailored to your client's needs. We'll answer any questions and then wrap up the session giving you details of how to get an assessment for your client booked in. Our CPD sessions are very relaxed and we welcome open discussion. The session is certified and goes towards your CPD portfolio.

Who is the workshop for?

This workshop is for Occupational Therapists, Social Services and Wheelchair Services who work with in Adult Care or Paediatric teams. Perhaps you've never come across a Stair Climber and you think it could provide a solution to your client, or maybe you've had experience with Stair Climbers in the past and would like to revisit them with us. By completing the workshop you'll be eligible for a CPD Certificate which will be sent out to you within a few days.

I’ve already heard about stair climbers, why is this session relevant to me?

We’re facing unprecedented challenges in housing and social care which makes already stretched services work with less resources available. We’ve worked closely with occupational therapists and social services to find creative ways to deploy stair climbers and maintain them as an ongoing asset to the service. We have both long- and short-term options available and can offer more options for complicated cases than before. You may find our case studies or open discussion aspects of the session helpful for a case on your workload currently or you may just wish to keep us in mind for the future.

What do I need?

You'll need a reliable internet connection as we'll demonstrate the Stair Climbers in use and chat through how they can be adapted to suit the user's requirements.
