Let's Talk Death: Death Literacy in Schools by Taboo Education
Join us at the Success Public Library for an engaging discussion on death literacy in schools brought to you by Taboo Education.
This isn't your typical mental health workshop. Join death educator Samantha Waite for a transformative session designed specifically for school psychologists, support staff, and educators. Learn why death literacy is crucial for student wellbeing — and how being proactive in discussing death can prevent the risk of self-harm and reckless behaviour, rather than just reacting to crises. In this session, you'll gain the confidence to navigate tough conversations with students, equip them with essential coping tools, and foster a school environment where talking about death is normal and empowering. This isn’t about grief counselling — it’s about building resilience and creating stronger, safer school communities before a crisis occurs. Come away with practical tools that will make a real difference.
Audience: This event is for school staff and leadership only. No general public.
Light refreshments supplied.
In Partnership with Act Belong Commit and R U OK Day
