Biblical Feasts and Where to Find Them

Beginning October 2024, Prince of Peace will engage several Biblical/Jewish Feasts in our regular worship settings. One purpose is to better understand our Jewish roots (Hanukkah, Purim, and Todah). Another purpose is to better understand Messiah by looking at Yeshua (Jesus) through the lens of the Feasts ordained by Yahweh (the LORD).

Here is the schedule of our Celebration Dates (dates of feasts on Jewish calendars are in parentheses):

o October 6 (October 3) – Feast of Trumpets [Rosh HaShanah]
o October 13 (October 12) – Day of Atonement [Yom Kippur]
o October 20 (October 17-24) – Feast of Tabernacles [Sukkoth]
o November 27 – Thanksgiving Eve [Todah]
o December 29 (December 26-January 2) – Feast of Dedication [Hanukkah]
o March 16 (March 14-15) – Feast of Lots [Purim[
o April 13 (April 12) – Passover [Pesach]
o April 20 (April 13-19) – Unleavened Bread [Chag HaMatzot]
o April 20 (April 20) – First Fruits [Bikkurim]
o June 8 (June 2-3) – Pentecost [Shavuoth]
