El Sonido de Un Valle er en dokumentarfilm, der udforsker forbindelsen mellem lyd, territorium og ritualer. I løbet af tre år skaber en eksperimentel skole kunstneriske praksisser for at forandre, hvordan folk opfatter og forholder sig til deres omgivelser. Filmen indfanger dalens unikke landskaber - dens tørre flodlejer, folklore og samspillet mellem stilhed og elektroniske lyde - og blander natur, folklore og moderne teknologi for at skabe en ny sanseoplevelse og en dybere forbindelse med landet. Dokumentaren vil blive introduceret af Selu Herraiz.
Selu Herraiz (de/han), transdisciplinær kunstner, musiker og filmskaber. Medstifter af Aldarrax Label og kunstnerisk leder af Rota musikfestival. En del af den kunstneriske ledelse af AADK Spain. Selu har studeret elektronisk ingeniørvidenskab. De praktiserer kunst som en undskyldning for at leve og søger at integrere den kreative handling i dagligdagen for at aktivere social transformation og stimulere kritisk tænkning. Med særligt fokus på lyd kombinerer de deres personlige forskning med design af uddannelsesmæssige oplevelser, og de nærmer sig skabelse i tæt relation til territorium og samfund.

Film screenings during STRUER TRACKS 2025
El Sonido de Un Valle is a documentary that explores the connection between sound, territory, and ritual. Over three years, an experimental school generates artistic practices to transform how people perceive and relate to their environment. The film captures the valley’s unique landscapes—its dry riverbeds, folklore, and the interplay of silence and electric sounds—blending nature, folklore, and modern technology to create a new sensory experience and a deeper connection with the land. The documentary will be introduced by Selu Herraiz.
Selu Herraiz (they/he), trans-disciplinary artist, musician and film-maker. Co-founder of Aldarrax Label and art-director of Rota music festival. Part of the artistic direction team of AADK Spain. Selu studied Electronic Engineering. They practice art as an excuse to inhabit and seeks to integrate the creative act into daily life in order to activate social transformation and stimulate critical thinking. Specially focused in sound, they combine their personal research with the design of educational experiences, approaching creation in close relation with territory and communities.
