Cost: $40 per person

Get ready for Shrove Tuesday with a hands-on Fasnacht workshop! Participants will spend the day learning how to make traditional faschnats from start to finish, while also exploring the history and cultural significance of this beloved pre-Lenten treat. Each participant will leave with one dozen homemade faschnats, ready to enjoy or share.

This workshop is open to adults and to children ages 10 and up when accompanied by a registered adult. Every participant—children and adults alike—must register separately.

What to bring:

A hand mixer (if possible, we will have some to share)
A packed lunch
Whether you’re continuing a family tradition or discovering faschnats for the first time, this workshop is a delicious way to prepare for Shrove Tuesday and connect with foodways of the past.
