Whimsical Stitched Landscape Workshop

Join Liz Taylor for this Slow Stitch workshop, where you will create an imaginative landscape using fabrics from a treasure trove of Lewis & Wood designs.

You will discover how to take cloth remnants and produce magical landscapes, by cutting and shaping fabrics and unleashing your imagination.

Liz will demonstrate traditional embroidery stitches and techniques such as appliqué to create an interesting work of stitch art for you to immerse yourself in.

You’ll be shown a variety of stitches but even if you can only do running stitch the possibilities are endless. These Slow Stitch techniques will be used in the creation of your landscape and we hope you'll find the process both restful and rewarding.

Materials will be supplied on the day so all you have to bring is your imagination; there’ll be plenty of help on hand if you need some ideas.

Why not take inspiration from a favourite local spot or scene from your travels and capture it in a truly memorable way. This one day workshop will encourage you to take a different view of your surroundings and explore new ways to represent them.
