Develop a new skill and find relaxation with our modern calligraphy workshop.
This half-day workshop is designed for beginners and provides a comprehensive introduction to the art of beautiful lettering. Guided by two practising calligraphers, Beverley and Lucy Mellor, you'll receive personalised instruction and expert guidance.
In this half-day workshop, guests can master the correct pen grip and learn to create distinctive thick and thin strokes characterising calligraphy. Guests can practice writing upper and lowercase letters, connecting them smoothly, and forming words and short phrases while exploring incorporating illustrations and flourishes, including spring-themed designs, to enhance lettering. This workshop will enable guests to design and create greeting cards, wall art, and other stationery items using newfound calligraphy skills.
All materials are provided, including a personalised starter kit, a workbook, and a selection of high-quality stationery templates.
