Join us for a special Friday night performance with one of Canada’s most respected roots songwriters. David Essig brings over five decades of experience to the stage, combining masterful guitar work with thoughtful, story-driven songwriting.
Originally known as a blues guitarist and mandolin player from rural Ontario, David has built a remarkable career as both a musician and author. His songs—rooted in the blues and country traditions—carry the same narrative strength found in his published fiction.
With 23 albums, a novel, and two collections of short stories under his belt (many inspired by his own lyrics), David’s performances offer more than music—they offer insight into a life steeped in storytelling.
Whether you're a longtime fan or discovering his music for the first time, this is a chance to see a veteran songwriter who continues to inspire new generations. As David puts it:
