Walnut Springs Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Homecoming Sunday

Dear Members and Friends of Walnut Springs Christian Church;

We wish to invite you to join us this Sunday, October 12th, at 10 a.m. for our Homecoming. This year’s Homecoming is extra special as we begin our year-long celebration of our Bicentennial—A Legacy of Faith for 200 Years! It was 200 years ago, in 1826, that a small group of people gathered in the Stickley Schoolhouse at Walnut Springs to establish a church. They simply called themselves “Christians,” and devoted themselves to the faith and practices of the New Testament. From such humble beginnings we find our roots as a congregation today. God has blessed us in so many ways, and now we reflect on what God has done and is doing in this place through his faithful people. Come, and celebrate this remarkable milestone of our 200 years of rich history and faithfulness. Following the worship service a luncheon will be served in our fellowship hall.
