Paddle in the Parks

Enjoy a morning paddle on Dane County waterways! This is a beginner level paddle on the Yahara River from Babcock County Park to Fish Camp County Park.

We have 10 canoes available to rent for $30 each or you are welcome to bring your own boat ($10 - no paddle boards). Each canoe can hold up to three adults (paddling) or 2 adults and 1-2 children. A PFD must be worn at all times while out on the water and will be provided.

𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
The route is approximately 4.3 miles in length.

5 - 5:15 pm - Welcome and boat drop off at Babcock County Park
5:15 - 5:45 pm - Move vehicles to end point at Fish Camp County Park. Dane County Parks van will shuttle you back to the starting point. We can only transport the driver of the vehicle due to space.
5:45 - 6 pm Remarks/Safety Talk
6 - 8 pm - Paddle from Babcock County Park to Fish Camp County Park
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without contacting us, we will continue on with the paddle without you.
