About the Outing Leader: Jeff is an avid outdoor enthusiast & naturalist who’s been enjoying the natural world for 50 years. He’s a member of the Friends of the Fells, The Trustees, Mass Audubon, Sudbury Valley Trustees, Acton Conservation Trust, Arlington Land Trust, Essex Greenbelt, Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions, The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Tufts University, Newton Conservators and The Massachusetts Archaeological Society, Inc.

About the Outing: Please join Jeff for a guided nature walk at Sheepfold. We’ll focus on Plant ID looking at native species along with a few non-natives. We’ll include select natural history with some lore thrown in too. And we’ll use helpful identifiers in Winter such as branching, buds, galls, leaf scars, persistent fruits and diagnostic characteristics that enable us to immediately identify the plant.
