Book signing with Mike Wurtz

John Muir’s Grand Yosemite is a guide to the “father of the National Park’s” drawings of Yosemite. The book contains 25 drawings along with directions to where Muir made the drawing, a brief passage by Muir and curator Mike Wurtz’s engaging commentary enlivens the tour of places like Half Dome and Yosemite Falls.

Mike Wurtz is an archivist and the Head of the University of the Pacific’s Holt-Atherton Special Collections and Archives where he curates the largest collection of famed naturalist John Muir’s works. He teaches courses and gives presentations about Muir and he worked with Muir to create John Muir’s Grand Yosemite – a guide to Muir’s drawings of the National Park.
