WAR OF THE EVERCHOSEN 5: Relics of the Old Ones
The secrets of the hidden treasures of the Old Ones have been revealed to the armies of the Warhammer World... and the race is now on to capture them. A Warhammer Fantasy 6th Edition Thematic Tournament. Five 2500 point games over 8th & 9th of November 2025, @ Element Games Manchester.

This event is going to be based around who is the best tactician / general with the smartest list to deal with all scenarios, not who has the strongest list for killing stuff.
The winner is not determined by victory / K*ll points but by the amount of treasure you have captured by the end of the Weekend. Whatever you capture during a game, you put towards your hoard of treasure. So even if you 'lose' a game, its possible you can still come away with treasure to add to you pot for the weekend and still be in the running.
Each player will play each of the following scenarios over the weekend...
1) Defend! - Hold the line! You must defend three treasures that are based within your deployment zone. Whoever has a unit closest to each of them at end of the game claims them for their hoard.
2) Attack! - Seize what is yours by right! Three treasures are based within your opponents deployment zone. Whoever is closest to them at end of the game claims them.
3) No Mans Land - 3 treasures are placed diagonally across the middle of the table, with armies deployed diagonally in opposite table corners. Race for them. Whoever is closest to them at end of the game claims them.
4) Do We Hold Or Charge Sir?? - One treasure is within your own deployment, one within the enemies deployment, and one in the center of the table. Whoever is closest to them at end of the game claims them. However, if you capture the treasure in your opponents deployment at the end of the game, you get 2 treasures!
5) All out war to decide the fate of the relics - Pitched battle. 1 treasure each for draw, 3 treasures for victory, 5 treasures for massacre
*Special rule - Blood or gold! - In all battles, treasures can be won in challenges (the treasures he/she was hiding in their pockets from allies!). If you K*ll a character of the same level via a challenge (e.g. lord v lord), it gets you 1 treasure. If you K*ll someone a level higher than you (E.g. your hero kills a lord) you get 2 treasures. And if you K*ll someone 2 levels higher (e.g. a champion kills a lord!) you get 3 treasures. Challenges only!
And yes.. you will have actually fancy gold coins to play with when you capture them to represent the treasure you have.
Defining Capture Rules:
1) To 'capture' a treasure - the unit with the largest unit strength within 3" of the treasure, captures it (you can have someone closer at 1" away with US 5 but if 3 inches away there is a enemy unit of US 6, the US 6 unit captures the treasure. You only need a corner of a unit within the 3" not the whole unit! (You know someones going to think that haha!)
2) Only units in your original army list can capture a treasure, not anything added / raised to your army from things like magic (eg zombies).
SPECIAL NAMED CHARACTERS ARE NOW ALLOWED
Famous named special characters (Malekith, Skarsnik, Karl-Franz, Mannfred Von Carstien etc) are ALLOWED.
However, we only can have one version of that character per event. For example, there can’t be 2 Beastmen armies with Khazrak One Eye or 2 wood elf armies with Orion.
So if you want the character in your army, you need to buy a ticket to be able to reserve that character so nobody else uses him/her as it will be a first come, first serve system with characters.
There is no reserving of characters without a ticket purchased.
However, Archaeon and teclis are dead in our lore from previous events so he cannot be chosen in this event!
