Film. Black Lives. Heatwaves. Pizza. 🍕
As part of Stockport Black History Month we invite you to an evening of film, food and community at @whatif_stockport on Saturday 25th of October
We’re screening Spike Lee’s landmark film #dotherightthing - a vivid snapshot of a sweltering day in Brooklyn. A story of heatwaves and rising tensions, resilience and neighbourliness. Timely!
Afterwards we invite everyone to join a reflections session with Kirsty Gbasai holding space for open conversations and thoughtful debate.
We ask all attendees to join us in celebrating our very own local hero’s from Stockport’s and Greater Manchester’s black communities past and present with the launch of our ‘Wall of Fame’ collage. Bring a cut out, pic or drawing to add!
And of course.. we’ll be serving up pizza 🍕
Tickets £3 (we have an allocation of 5 SKFree tickets for anyone who wants to come but cost is a barrier) click on SKFREE type on eventbrite)
