Join Cultureword for a Creative Writing Workshop & Friendly Fallowfield Loop Cycle

Join us for Saddle Stories , a unique evening combining the joy of cycling with the power of creative writing!
We'll start with a leisurely group cycle down the scenic Fallowfield Loop , riding from St Werburgh's Road Tram Stop in Chorlton to Station South in Levenshulme . This pre-workshop cycle is the perfect way to get your creative gears turning and enjoy some fresh air before diving into the world of words. We'll set off at 5:00 PM and cycle at a leisurely pace following the off road Fallowfield Loop Cycle Path. Perfect for cyclists who don't yet feel comfortable cycling alongside cars.

Following our ride, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM , we'll gather for an engaging creative writing workshop. Facilitator Ella Otomewo will provide you with prompts and guidance to inspire writing on cycling, the outdoors and eco-politics. All participants will be invited to submit their work to our upcoming audio anthology Saddle Stories. Find out more
Event Schedule:
- 5:00 PM: Leisurely group cycle from Chorlton to Levenshulme along the Fallowfield Loop. (Optional)
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Creative Writing Workshop focusing on the themes of "Saddle Stories" and preparing you to submit to our audio anthology.
Plus: the Saddle Stories Open Mic will take place on Thursday 21st August – save the date!
