Yonderman / Matlock / Monyash
Start : Hazel Grove P&R
Start time : 10.00 Wheels rolling
1st Section
Out of car park, turn Right towards RISING SUN PUB traffic lights (outside lane).
Turn Right A6 SP Buxton
Continue on A6 through Disley/Newtown/Furness Vale onto Chapel bypass.
After 1st roundabout ON the bypass take the left slip road.
At Junction (bottom of slip) turn Left, SP Stackhall
Continue on this road which will finally have a sharp right turn.
After 200 yards take left turn.
Ride with caution down WINNATS PASS to next road junction.
Turn Right, continue on A6187 through Castleton/Hope to traffic lights (outside lane).
Turn Right onto B6049 SP Brough/Bradwell. Continue through lights at Bradwell to junction with A623 (Anchor Pub on Right).
Turn Left on A623 SP Chesterfield.
Continue to YONDERMAN CAFÉ on right hand side.
Coffee time.
Stage 2
Continue on A623 through Stoney Middleton/Calver/Baslow
At large Roundabout AFTER Baslow take 2nd Exit A619 SP Chesterfield
At 1st roundabout in Chesterfield (Morrisons on right), take 2nd exit
Pass Morrisons entrance, keep straight on (Walton Rd)
At T Junction turn Right A632 to Matlock
After 7 miles and a long steep descent there is a cross road. Cross over (slightly left) into Church Street.
Proceed steadily to next T Junction.
At T Junction turn Right (Lea Road) – over river – continue on Mill Road to traffic lights.
Turn Right A6 then IMMEDIATELY Left onto B3036 SP Cromford.
Take 2nd Right turn (only 200 yds) to A5012 SP Newhaven
Remain on A5012 to junction with A515
Turn Right (petrol station to your right)
After 2 miles take right turn for Monyash.
Stop at THE OLD SMITHY for whatever (PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS!)
Stage 3
Depart Monyash via Chapel Street (down the Left side of Old Smithy).
Keep straight to T Junction (about 1 ½ miles). Turn Right at junction
At cross roads keep straight on. Remain on this road to Taddington.
At Junction turn Left then Right fork to rejoin the A6.
Turn Left for Buxton.
Follow A6 back to our area via Doveholes.
