Boddhi Satva is a globally renowned Producer, DJ, and innovator in the electronic music scene, celebrated for pioneering the genre he calls "Ancestral Soul." Hailing from the Central African Republic, Boddhi has spent over 25 years bridging traditional African rhythms with contemporary electronic music, creating a transformative cultural dialogue that resonates across dancefloors worldwide.
His official debut release in 2005 marked a pivotal moment for African-inspired electronic music on the global stage. Mentored by Grammy winners Osunlade and Louie Vega, as well as Deep House pioneer Alton Miller, Boddhi’s artistry honors house music’s roots while pushing creative boundaries. This dedication has earned him accolades like a 2015 AFRIMA nomination for Best African Electronic Music and the Brukmer Golden Afro Artistic Award in 2017.
Boddhi’s electrifying performances have taken him to iconic venues such as Ministry of Sound in London, Cielo New York, and the W Hotel in Doha, Qatar. He has also headlined major events, including the All African Games in the Republic of Congo in 2015. Known for seamlessly blending Afro house, deep house, and ancestral influences, his live sets captivate audiences and solidify his place in the global electronic music community.
Boddhi’s discography is a testament to his evolution as an artist. Albums such as Invocation (2012), Transition (2016), Manifestation (2022), and In Spite of Everything (2024) showcase his ability to innovate while staying deeply rooted in African traditions. Manifestation was celebrated as "Album of the Month" by DJ Mag, and In Spite of Everything garnered critical acclaim, with features in GQ Magazine and Forbes Afrique highlighting its cultural and artistic impact.
Collaboration has been a cornerstone of Boddhi’s career. He has worked with Grammy Award-winner Omou Sangaré, Afrobeats superstar Davido, R&B icons Teedra Moses and Raheem DeVaughn, and Ghanaian rapper Stonebwoy. These collaborations reflect his commitment to connecting diverse musical traditions and amplifying African voices on the global stage.
Beyond music, Boddhi is the founder of Offering Recordings, a label dedicated to African-inspired electronic music, and co-founder of Batakari, a platform supporting ethical and innovative creativity by Africans worldwide. His entrepreneurial ventures also include Lisoro Magazine, a publication that amplifies African perspectives and achievements across various disciplines.
