On July 26 we are hosting an 2 hour introductory workshop for anyone that is interested to start studying with us.
During this workshop we will share our take on what a movement practice is and what the goals are, we will go into a physical practice session in the form of a structured class where we share some of the latest movement material that we have been working on recently.
It is important to us that you take part of this workshop before you start taking classes on a regular basis with us as this will set the expectations right and allow for us to be able to communicate efficiently and grow in our practice in the best possible way.
The start of the workshop will consists of a short talk on the philosophical background of a movement practice, our aim will be to get a better overall picture on what a movement practice is and what the goals are, we will also share some ideas that are important to us, things such as; how to be a student and a good partner, how to cultivate a student mindset, how take ownership of our learning. We will also establish a common terminology to be able to communicate more efficiently.
We will then move onto a practice part where we will go into the latest movement research that we are working on in the form of a structured class. This will be a preview of what kind of subjects we will be pursuing in the next phase of our curriculum.
