Welcome to launch with us the first edition of the Jewish Book Festival where Judisk kultur i Sverige continues its tradition of celebrating books and ideas. The festival will present cross-generational authors and thinkers of various genres that together create a mosaic of the flourishing multifaceted Jewish culture. International guests include American acclaimed author Nicole Krauss, historian Tom Segev, Polish author Mikolaj Grynberg, Danish author and journalist Martin Krasnik, three of Israel’s forefront contemporary authors Tehila Hakimi, Roy Chen and Yaniv Iczkovits, literary agent Deborah Harris and Emile Schrijver, director the the Jewish Culture Quarters in Amsterdam. Swedish participants include Mats Almegård, Jessica Bab, Henrik Berggren, Gunnar Bolin, Natalie Bloch, Jonathan Brott, Henry Bronett, Lars Dencik, Alexander Freudenthal, Kaj Fried, Andreas Gedin, Anders Hammarlund, Peter Handberg, Cecilia Hansson, Kenneth Hermele, Michael Kaufmann, Rebecka Katz Thor, Ludvig Köhler, Jens Lapidus, Ola Larsmo, Madelaine Levy, Ingrid Lomfors, Sara Mannheimer, Hannes Meidal, Stephan Mendel-Enk, Maria Modig, Lukas Moodysson, Ricki Neuman, Anders Olsson, Hynek Pallas, Daniel Pedersen, Dina and Jovan Rajs, Yvonne Rock, Gabriel Francke Rodau, Cecilia Rudinger, Sarah Schulman, Astrid Seeberger, Nathan Shachar, Johanna Schreiber, Johan Schück, Greta Schüldt, Margit Silberstein, Sara Sommerfeld, Natalie Verständig, Svante Weyler, Ebba Witt-Brattström, Torkel Wächter, Leif Zern and Elisabeth Åsbrink. The Jewish Book Festival is produced in cooperation with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts on the occasion of 250 years of Jewish Life in Sweden.
