The Improstudio ensemble dig deep in the here and now. They want to scrutinize the zeitgeist and bring it to the stage. What´s going on with contemporary life? Who are we in these tempestuous times? Who do we want to be? The audience brings the vibe, the improvisers bring the show.

Improfest is an annual International Improvisational Theatre festival in Gothenburg. It’s a celebration of improv in the performing arts and offers engaging workshops as well as amazing performances from all over the world.
Main festival:
Improfest 2025 will be bigger then ever with a main festival in Gothenburg Aug 21-24 with shows, workshops and alot of social gatherings, such as after parties, events and mixer shows. Like the years before we will also be in Mölndal Aug 18-20, where there will be workshops and festival kick-off with improv jam.
Extended festival:
In addition to that, we will extend the festival to several places in the region, such as:
Lidköping , Skövde, Mellerud, Alingsås, Lerum, Stockholm and Malmö.
Improfest was founded by Peter Nordstrand in 2015. In 2023, the festival received new direction in the form of Gbgimpro and is now run by a project group with Martin Rositzka as project manager.
