Come through and witness some of improv’s most powerful voices taking up space, making up stories, and making history—in real time. This is more than just a show—it’s an experience.

Watch our Improv Comedy show with international stars like Joe Bill, Stephanie Rae, Coko Galore, Shannon Stott, and John Gebratose. They’ll offer totally improvised comedy sketches together with skilled performers from Gbgimpro & Improstudion. Anything can happen! You may see everything from like improvised Shakespeare, musicals or a Documentary that goes totally wrong. Who knows!? But it will definitely be crazy fun!

Improfest is an annual International Improvisational Theatre festival in Gothenburg. It’s a celebration of improv in the performing arts and offers engaging workshops as well as amazing performances from all over the world.
Main festival:
Improfest 2025 will be bigger then ever with a main festival in Gothenburg Aug 21-24 with shows, workshops and alot of social gatherings, such as after parties, events and mixer shows. Like the years before we will also be in Mölndal Aug 18-20, where there will be workshops and festival kick-off with improv jam.
Extended festival:
In addition to that, we will extend the festival to several places in the region, such as:
Lidköping , Skövde, Mellerud, Alingsås, Lerum, Stockholm and Malmö.
Improfest was founded by Peter Nordstrand in 2015. In 2023, the festival received new direction in the form of Gbgimpro and is now run by a project group with Martin Rositzka as project manager.
